Privacy Policy

Traxotic Networking cares a great deal about your privacy. The purpose of this privacy policy is to be as transparant as possible regarding the processing of personal data by Traxotic Networking.

Data Protection Act
The Dutch Data Protection Act requires Traxotic Networking to inform you about any personal data that is processed by Traxotic Networking. Personal data is defined as any direct or indirect piece of information that leads to the unique identification of an individual. The processing of personal data by Traxotic Networking is exempted from the notification obligation to the Dutch Data Protection Autority. Therefore Traxotic Networking is not included in the public register maintained by the Dutch DPA.

Personal data and third parties
Traxotic Networking does not share or sell personal data to third parties, except when this is legally required by Dutch law.

Visiting the website
When visiting traxotic.net or any of its subdomains (e.g. 'www' or 'secure'), your hostname, browser identification string, operating system, and in some cases the last website you visited is stored for statistical purposes. This information will not be sold or given to third parties.

Cookies
Although Traxotic Networking prefers not to uses cookies, this is in many cases necessary for open source software to run properly. Therefore cookies are used when using webmail and our online database management system (PHPmyadmin). After using these services, cookies can safely be removed from your computer system. The next time you use these services, new cookies will be created. Notice that cookies are not used by Traxotic Networking for any form of data mining.

Using our mailserver
Traxotic Networking uses a server-side spamfilter for all incoming e-mail. The advantage of a centralized spamfilter is that it occurs without any interferance of the end-user (clients). The disadvantage is that this filter requires regular updates by an administrator. In practice this comes down to manually reclassifying so-called false negatives (spam which has been indicated as legitimate e-mail). This means that Traxotic Networking might examine your e-mail when there is reason to believe this is spam (a false negative).

Security
All services offered by Traxotic Networking that require logging in via a username and password are offered over a secure connection. Some services can only be used by ipaddress within the Netherlands or, in the most extreme cases, by ipaddress belonging to clients of Traxotic Networking.
